SpotlightedAce Combat: Distant Thunder have a big media update, including renders of the ISAF F-16 Fighting Falcon and the Eurasian EF-2000 Typhoon, as well as some in-game shots of said units.[dohtml]
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a highly versatile aircraft. The mainstay of the ISAF air forces, this aircraft can be outfitted to serve a variety of roles. As seen in the renders below, it can be outfitted with either 4 MK82 medium unguided bombs or 2 long range anti-radiation missiles (used for homing in on large radar signatures, such as SAM sites). As with any other ISAF aircraft, it also has 2 AIM-9 sidewinder missiles for air defense. The F-16s advanced avionics systems make it suitable for any mission, which is exactly what the ISAF needs.

The EF-2000 Eurofighter Typhoon is a small and nimble air defense craft. It comes armed with the standard Erusian AA-2 Atoll missiles, but can also be armed with 4 medium range Mica missiles. Though these missiles lack the range and effectiveness of ISAF AIM-120 AMRAAMs or the Erusian AA-10 Alamo, they still deliver quite a punch to an unwitting aerial foe.
Several EF-2000s have been flying in and out of Newfield Islands airspace lately, with their intentions unknown, all bases and local groups, including the Mobius squadron have been set on high alert.
[/dohtml]• Blitzkrieg III for BfME has, unfortunately, been cancelled.[dohtml]
As of right now, Blitzkrieg 3: Fortress Europe is cancelled. The site will stay up for a while for archive purposes but there will be no work done on the mod itself. In addition we have no plans to bring the project back in the future.

SpotlightedAce Combat: Distant Thunder dish out more goodies today, including a render of the Erusean M110 self propelled howitzer.[dohtml]
[/url]The Erusean M110 self propelled howitzer gets the job done. While not nearly as amazing as the M270, the M110 is much cheaper and easier to produce in numbers, and can shred any ISAF commander who isn't ready. Firing at such a long range does have one disadvantage though. It's almost impossible to hit something up close. Keep your artillery batteries well defended, or they wont last long enough to get off a second volley.

The M1A2 Abrams at Rigley airbase performed phenomenally against the Erusian numbers, but there was one major key to their defeat. The Erusians had artillery support, while ISAF forces were too pinned down to take it out. The batteries of Erusian M110's were enough to silence the resistance in the airbase and secured the ISAF defeat.
[/dohtml]So there you have it. Click me for the rest of the updates.

• More wholesome goodness from the Slipstream front, with Defcon showing off their Aerosian bunker in-game.

• Jah of Tiberium Odyssey has posted an in-game teaser of the mod in action, which you can see below.

[dohtml]

[/dohtml]
True War 2 have a new render of the M113 aswell as an in-game shot.[dohtml]
The M113A3 is the American Armored Personell Carrier. Armed with a M2 .50 cal machinegun, it can carry 11 soldiers around the battlefield, with reasonable protection against heavy machine-gun fire. The M113 has been used as a basis for countless vehicles: the M577 Command and Control Vehicle, the M1064 120-mm Mortar, the M58 Smoke Generator vehicle, some of which will be featured in TW2 as well.

SpotlightedAce Combat: Distant Thunder have a new render for us, of the ISAF CH-47 Chinook, as well as some in-game shots (each syllable is a seperate url) of the unit in action.[dohtml]
Capable of carrying a maximum 20,000 pounds internally, this flying beast can take 44 fully loaded soldiers to the battle at over 140 knots. Of course, there's only so much any helicopter can take, so don't go sending these things through ridiculous amounts of AA or you won't see your soldiers, or your helicopter, come home.

[/dohtml]
Project Raptor have a new pic showcasing the Anti-Tank Gattling Tank (repetition=bad by the way).

Spotlighted • Today we have 3 new renders, the first 2 of these coming from the World Rebellion mod crew. Here are your (yet unskinned) renders; on the left you have the Soviet BM-27 Uragan and on the right is the RAC ZSU-57 Anti-Aircraft vehicle.[dohtml]
The BM-27 fires sixteen 220mm missiles which will devastate enemy buildings and defenses.
The RAC ZSU-57 is the oldest vehicle in the RAC arsenal, but its 57mm double barrel weapon is extremely effective against slow and low flying aircraft which includes helicopters, cargo planes and heavy bombers.
The ZSU-57 is less effective against fast flying aircraft such as jet fighters.

[/dohtml]
Defcon have a new render of the Aerosian Samsite in two forms.[dohtml]
On the right hand side you have the normal state. The left hand side is the firing state. When a unit is in range the SAM site will pop up, launch the missiles in all directions, then begin guiding them in the air. This allows for a very large volley of missiles, and there will always be a missile that is near the unit that is being targeted.
[/dohtml]Sounds neat huh? Here's your preview.

Spotlighted • Newly opened Slipstream Productions show no signs of slowing down on the update front, with Ace Combat: Distant Thunder and Defcon both giving generously.

Ace Combat: Distant Thunder have a new and shiny Erusian Leopard 2 A5 tank on show, including some in-game shots of this baby in action.

[dohtml]

[/dohtml]
Next up is Defcon. Instead of me pretending to know what I'm talking about, here's a direct quote.[dohtml]
The helipad will provide the Aerosians with a way to build a transport helicopter, and that helicopter will allow infantry to zip line down on buildings and clear them. There will also be a clearing weapon for the Ebres at Defcon 5, and this will allow garrisonned units to go back to having an advantage over units just advancing on foot.
